Administrative Analyst Washington, DC

Our operations team is seeking a professional, energetic and self-motivated individual who is detail-oriented and has the ability to multi-task changing priorities while supporting multiple colleagues on the NextGen team. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage stakeholders involved in deal process (founders, Venture Partners, Limited Partners, coinvestors, service providers) to assist in collecting documents and funds
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining investment-related digital files, folders, and records
  • Assist with bookkeeping aspects related to individual deals, including bank reconciliations
  • Support colleagues with special projects and investor relations
  • Assist colleagues with scheduling, travel, and expense reporting
  • Execute multiple Venture Partner and Limited Partner events across the country
  • General administrative duties including writing and editing correspondence, contact data maintenance, interfacing with vendors, clients and other firm leaders.

Key Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will possess, two (2) to four (4) of experience in operations, including as an Administrative Assistant, Office Assistant, or Marketing/Event planning
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Must be a highly organized and efficient problem solver
  • Capable of prioritizing and executing multiple tasks and projects in a dynamic, deadline-oriented environment
  • Superior written and oral communication skills
  • Organizational/Project Management skills
  • Ability to work independently and on team projects

Community Manager Washington, DC

The Community Manager will work to ensure that our 900+ Venture Partners are engaged throughout their experience with NextGen. We’re looking for an entrepreneurial spirit who loves learning about people and is eager to have dozens of touchpoints with our investor community every day. The successful applicant will have excellent people and communications skills, a service mentality, and be able to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cultivate relationships and facilitate connections between Venture Partners
  • Communicate with Venture Partners about investment interests
  • Educate Venture Partners about ongoing activities, making sure to answer questions
  • Engage with Venture Partners around investment review committees
  • Collect, track, and manage data about Venture Partners
  • Create content for and about Venture Partners, specifically, but not limited to, newsletters, twitter, and custom-built Facebook-style platform
  • Ensure ongoing, meaningful touchpoints with each Venture Partner

  • Two (2) or more years of relevant work experience
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment, successfully engaging a large number of individuals at any given time

Business Development Coordinator Washington, DC

The Business Development Coordinator will work in a partnership with members of the team who are responsible for growing and maintaining our growing investor network. Supporting this team will require multiple touch points with internal and external constituents, concise and consistent attention to detail and a commitment to superior service. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Research to identify prospective Venture Partners (VP) and Limited Partners (LP)
  • Build and maintain a full funnel of new VP and LP prospects
  • Support NextGen colleagues by maintaining contact and business/pipeline opportunities in the firm’s CRM system and help maintain and reconcile database information/contact data across various systems
  • Arrange conversations between prospective investors and NextGen colleagues
  • Ensure ongoing touchpoints by email/phone with prospective investors
  • Prepare materials/data for meeting follow-up requests and as background material for colleagues prior to meetings/calls with prospective investors
  • Identify investors to attend NextGen events – investor dinners and entertainment
  • Leverage and learn how to use sales tools available
