Dan Mindus


Dan Mindus is a Managing Partner at NextGen Venture Partners. Before founding NextGen, Dan was a Vice President at the New Vantage Group, an early-stage investing firm in Washington, DC. Dan has been included four times on Washingtonian magazine's list of 100 DC Tech Titans. He started his career at the Gerson Lehrman Group, an investment research firm in New York City. He holds a BA from Yale and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Brett Gibson


Prior to NextGen, Brett was in corporate development at LivingSocial, a venture-backed ecommerce firm. A graduate of the Harvard Business School and the University of Virginia, Brett has an extensive background in investing and acquisitions, including experience with The Carlyle Group. Brett currently serves in the Army National Guard and he's qualified as a U.S. Army Ranger.

Lisa Cuesta


Prior to NextGen, Lisa worked at Booz Allen Hamilton and Google where she was involved in developing and executing product launches for several cybersecurity, ecommerce, and media businesses. Lisa graduated with honors from the University of Pennsylvania and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Chris Keller


Prior to NextGen, Chris was founder and CEO of FollowUp.cc, an email productivity service acquired by Argon Technologies. He also ran the Labs division at HubSpot and co-founded Fafarazzi, the world's first online fantasy entertainment league. Chris has been an active angel investor and supporter of the Boston startup ecosystem.

Jon Bassett


Prior to NextGen, Jon was a Principal at Silverton Partners, a $250M Austin-based fund where he led deal-sourcing and due diligence. A graduate of Davidson College, Jon has an extensive background in public equity finance and early-stage investing, including experience with Draper Fisher Jurvetson and as an Instructor at USC Marshall School of Business.

Deborah Chu


Before joining NextGen, Deborah was a public equities investor at AllianceBernstein and gained experience in early-stage investing at Aquiline. Deborah holds a BS from Cornell and an MBA from The Wharton School.

Corinne Smeriglio


Prior to joining NextGen, Corinne worked at Venturehouse Group, a DC based Venture Capital firm. Corinne graduated with a degree in Marketing from Radford University.

Ben Bayat


Prior to NextGen, Ben was a Partner at Illuminate Ventures, a seed stage firm based in the Bay Area. He started his career as a data scientist at IBM before moving into executive positions in Engineering & Sales. Ben holds a BS degree in Physics & Electrical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and an MBA from the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business.

Alyssa Gill


Prior to joining NextGen, Alyssa helped lead Venture for America's first national training camp based in Detroit. She also helped launch and run gener8tor's gBETA Detroit accelerator program. Today, Alyssa oversees the experience of over 1,000 Venture Partners with NextGen.
